Scoring Examples

Let’s look at some examples to understand how the scoring works in practice:

Example 1: Elite Point Guard Performance

Player Statistics:

  • 28 points (10-20 FG, 2-5 3PT, 6-7 FT)
  • 5 rebounds
  • 12 assists
  • 3 steals
  • 0 blocks
  • 4 turnovers

Points Calculation:

  • Points: 28 × 1.0 = 28.0
  • Rebounds: 5 × 1.2 = 6.0
  • Assists: 12 × 1.5 = 18.0 (+ PG bonus 12 × 0.2 = 2.4)
  • Steals: 3 × 2.0 = 6.0 (+ PG bonus 3 × 0.3 = 0.9)
  • 3-Pointers: 2 × 0.5 = 1.0
  • Field Goals Made: 10 × 0.5 = 5.0
  • Field Goals Missed: 10 × -0.5 = -5.0
  • Free Throws Made: 6 × 0.5 = 3.0
  • Free Throws Missed: 1 × -0.5 = -0.5
  • Turnovers: 4 × -1.0 = -4.0
  • Double-Double (points, assists): +3.0

Total Fantasy Points: 28.0 + 6.0 + 18.0 + 2.4 + 6.0 + 0.9 + 1.0 + 5.0 – 5.0 + 3.0 – 0.5 – 4.0 + 3.0 = 63.8 points

Example 2: Dominant Center Performance

Player Statistics:

  • 22 points (9-15 FG, 0-0 3PT, 4-6 FT)
  • 14 rebounds
  • 3 assists
  • 1 steal
  • 4 blocks
  • 2 turnovers

Points Calculation:

  • Points: 22 × 1.0 = 22.0
  • Rebounds: 14 × 1.2 = 16.8 (+ C bonus 14 × 0.2 = 2.8)
  • Assists: 3 × 1.5 = 4.5
  • Steals: 1 × 2.0 = 2.0
  • Blocks: 4 × 2.0 = 8.0 (+ C bonus 4 × 0.3 = 1.2)
  • Field Goals Made: 9 × 0.5 = 4.5
  • Field Goals Missed: 6 × -0.5 = -3.0
  • Free Throws Made: 4 × 0.5 = 2.0
  • Free Throws Missed: 2 × -0.5 = -1.0
  • Turnovers: 2 × -1.0 = -2.0
  • Double-Double (points, rebounds): +3.0

Total Fantasy Points: 22.0 + 16.8 + 2.8 + 4.5 + 2.0 + 8.0 + 1.2 + 4.5 – 3.0 + 2.0 – 1.0 – 2.0 + 3.0 = 60.8 points
